There are a number of ongoing construction and remodeling projects at the Hines VA. We are committed to providing our patients with newer, more modern facilities in which to receive our top quality health care.
In the last two years, we have completed construction on brand
new Blind Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury Centers; both fully
equipped with new equipment, modern design and patient courtyards.
We have also relocated and remodeled our primary care and
subspecialty outpatient clinics, now located on the third and fourth
floors of our main hospital building. Both of these high-volume
clinics are now brand new and offer patients a professional and
user-friendly enviroment during their outpatient appointments. We
are proud to offer our patients new Eye and ENT Clinics and earlier
this year we opened a new Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) on the
second floor of the main hospital building.
Ongoing projects include:
- Modernizing and expanding our Emergency Department
- Remodeling and relocating our Operating Rooms
- Opening a new Medical Intensive Care Unit; co-locating it
with our recently opened SICU on the second floor.
- Complete renovation and remodeling of two acute inpatient
wards
- Renovation of all passenger and service elevators in the
hospital
- Construction on a new Angiography Suite
- Purchase of a new Open MRI Machine
