Central Blind Rehabilitation Center (CBRC) at Hines, Illinois

Message from the Chief

The goal of the Hines Blind Rehabilitation Center since 1948 has been to offer each veteran that enters our program the respect and training that they deserve. Each individual that enters our program will be treated as an individual throughout the time they are with us. This is addressed throughout the rehabilitation process by insuring that the veteran is an active participant in all areas of planning and training. As our founders have stated this is where a veteran is accorded the hope, respect and freedom to learn the skills necessary to address life as a blind individual.

Jerry Schutter, Chief
Central Blind Rehabilitation Center
