Hines Clinical Laboratory

• Staffed with over 100 technical and professional personnel
• Accredited by JCAHO, College of American Pathologists, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
• Equipped with state of the art clinical instrumentation and a sophisticated interfaced computer information system
• Full service core laboratory including stat, reference, routine and special testing
• Continuing education committee that sponsors continuing education activities for the professional staff
• Integrated Pathology residency program
• Performs more than 2.1 million diagnostic tests per year

Medical Technology Program

• Established in 1974.
• Accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), 8410 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., #670, Chicago, IL 60631-3415, (773)714-8880.
• Offers a 11-month clinical education program beginning the first week of August.
• Graduates are eligible to take certifying examinations offered by the ASCP Board of Registry, the National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel or any other approved certifying agency.
• Prepares Clinical Laboratory Scientists who traditionally achieve high scores on national certifying examinations and who are successful in their endeavors.
